Our Term 2 small group programs run for 8 weeks, commencing the first week of May 2026. A termly fee is charged upon enrolment with a weekly attendance commitment required.

School Ready Group
Holiday Intensive · Ages 3.5–5.5 years
Preparing for school? Give your child the most confident start possible.
Duration: 2.5 hrs per session
Sessions: AM block (9:15–11:45am) or PM block (2:00–4:30pm) · Tue–Thu each week

Starting school is one of the biggest transitions in a child's life — and the weeks leading up to it matter more than many parents realise. The School Ready Group is an intensive holiday version of our popular termly Ready, Set, School! program, designed to give children aged 3.5 to 5.5 years a confident, well-rounded head start. Led by our multi-disciplinary team, each 2.5-hour session immerses children in purposeful, play-based learning that targets the full spectrum of school readiness skills — social, emotional, sensory, communication, and academic foundations.
Learning Objectives
- ✓Pre-literacy foundations: letter recognition, phonological awareness, early writing
- ✓Pre-numeracy: counting, sorting, patterns, and number concepts
- ✓Oral language and listening: following instructions, joining conversations
- ✓Fine and gross motor development: pencil grip, scissors, balance, and coordination
- ✓Social skills: turn-taking, sharing, co-operative play, and making friends
- ✓Emotional regulation: identifying feelings, managing transitions, building resilience
Brilliant Writer's Club
Holiday Intensive · Years 3–6 (approx. 8–12 years)
Help your child find their voice on the page — and love writing in the process.
Duration: 1 hr per session
Sessions: Staggered at 10:15am · Individual sessions (Tue–Sat each week)

Most children have no shortage of ideas — the challenge is getting those ideas onto the page in a way that is structured, purposeful, and engaging. The Brilliant Writer's Club is a holiday intensive version of our termly Write On! Writing Workshop, designed for students in Years 3 to 6. Over the holiday program, sessions focus on two foundational text types — Narrative and Informative writing — giving children the time to go deep rather than wide. Drawing on evidence-based methods including Talk for Writing and explicit text-type instruction, children leave each session with a completed piece they are genuinely proud of. The full range of five text types (including Persuasive, Opinion, and Creative) is covered across our termly Write On! program.
Learning Objectives

As students move into upper primary and early secondary, writing demands shift significantly. Essays, analytical responses, and persuasive pieces require a sophisticated command of structure, argument, and language. The Brilliant Writer's Club G6–G8 is a holiday intensive for older students ready to take their writing to the next level — the advanced counterpart to our termly Write On! Writing Workshop. Students work in a small, focused group to develop the skills that separate competent writers from confident ones: constructing a clear, sustained argument; using evidence effectively; and writing with a distinct, purposeful voice.
Learning Objectives
- ✓Constructing and sustaining a coherent argument in persuasive and analytical writing
- ✓Applying appropriate text structures for essays, reports, and creative responses
- ✓Developing vocabulary, syntax, and stylistic range for academic and creative contexts

Read & Spell Squad

Reading and spelling are not just school subjects — they are the gateway to everything else your child learns. The Read & Spell Squad is a holiday intensive version of our termly Spelling Codebreakers program, delivered by our Speech Pathologist and Educator using an explicit, systematic approach grounded in the Science of Reading. Each one-hour session targets the core building blocks of literacy: phonological awareness, phonics, spelling patterns, and word structure — giving children the tools to decode and encode words with growing accuracy and confidence. Particularly effective for children with dyslexia, language difficulties, or a history of speech delays.
Learning Objectives
- ✓Phonological awareness: hearing, identifying, and manipulating sounds in spoken words
- ✓Phonics: systematic sound-to-letter correspondences for accurate decoding and encoding
- ✓Spelling conventions: understanding the patterns and rules that govern English spelling
- ✓Morphology: word roots, prefixes, and suffixes to expand vocabulary and comprehension
- ✓Reading fluency: building speed, accuracy, and expression in oral reading
- ✓Confidence: restoring self-belief and a positive relationship with reading and spelling
